WOD: 5 mile trail run
In the spirit of reflecting and resolving, I am re-visiting the book The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey.
I was recently asked to list 10 books that have in some way stayed with
me and changed my life. This is hands down one of those books.
A key take away is this truth: Between stimulus and response is the freedom to choose.
That wisdom has served me well when I am tempted to blame someone else or some random circumstance or to give someone else power over what I value in a re-active manner.
I'll be taking time this month to be definitive about my values, roles and the goals I have for myself for this year.
