Meditation- Exercise 1 Sitting with the breath From the book, "Full Catastrophe Living: Using the Wisdom of Your Body and Mind to Face Stress, Pain, and Illness" the first practice is to pay attention to the breath starting with 10 minutes. When the mind wanders away from the breath, the idea is to just see where it is, let go and come back to the breath. This is a lot more challenging that it sounds. My mind doesn't just wander it runs away with my ginourmous "To DO" list for the day. Girls on the Run started today. We have 9 amazing girls on our team and I feel very lucky to be able to coach again. On the first day, we spend time getting to know everyone through games and discussion and the outcome is discovering our commonalities and celebrating our unique-ness.

Tonight my super creative, talented friend Tara came over to teach us calligraphy.
